Introduction
Welcome to GoTrans. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, mobile application, and bus ticketing services. By accessing or using GoTrans, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of our platform immediately.
Services Provided
GoTrans provides the following services through our web and mobile platforms:
- Search and comparison of intercity bus routes across partner agencies in Cameroon.
- Secure online ticket booking and payment processing.
- Digital boarding pass generation (PDF and in-app formats).
- Booking management, including viewing and cancelling reservations (subject to agency policy).
- Customer support and trip assistance via WhatsApp, phone, and email.
Service availability may vary by route, agency, and date. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of the platform with reasonable notice.
Booking & Ticketing
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all passenger details entered during booking (names, ID numbers, dates of birth, contact information). Incorrect details may result in denied boarding with no refund.
A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment. Your digital boarding pass serves as proof of purchase and must be presented (printed or on-screen) at the boarding terminal.
Passengers must arrive at the departure terminal at least 30 minutes before departure, or as directed by the partner agency. Late arrivals may forfeit their ticket without refund.
You must carry a valid government-issued photo ID matching the name and ID number on your boarding pass. Agencies may refuse boarding to passengers who cannot verify their identity.
Partner Agency Policies
By booking through GoTrans, you also agree to the specific terms and operational policies of the transport agency fulfilling your trip. Each agency independently sets rules regarding:
- Luggage: Allowances, size restrictions, and excess baggage fees.
- Onboard Conduct: Smoking, food, pets, and behaviour policies.
- Boarding: Location, procedure, and documentation required.
- Delays & Route Changes: How disruptions are handled and communicated.
It is your responsibility to review the specific agency's policies before travel. GoTrans is not liable for agency-level decisions.
Payments & Refunds
Payment methods accepted: Mobile Money (MTN, Orange), debit/credit cards (via Flutterwave). All transactions are processed in XAF (CFA Francs).
Failed payments: If a payment fails or is reversed after a booking is created, GoTrans reserves the right to cancel the booking and release the reserved seats without notice.
Refund eligibility:
- Refunds are subject to the individual agency's cancellation and refund policy.
- Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
- A processing fee of up to 5% may apply on refunded transactions.
- No-show bookings are generally non-refundable unless otherwise stated by the agency.
Cancellations & Changes
Passenger-initiated cancellations:
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before departure: eligible for partial refund (agency-dependent).
- Cancellations made within 24 hours of departure: generally non-refundable.
- Seat changes are subject to availability and agency approval.
Agency-initiated cancellations:
- If the agency cancels or significantly delays a scheduled trip, GoTrans will facilitate a full refund or rebooking, subject to agency cooperation.
- GoTrans is not liable for compensation beyond the ticket value in cases of force majeure (strikes, natural disasters, government orders, road closures).
