Bamenda is the capital of the Northwest Region, perched on an escarpment at roughly 1,600 m altitude. It is the cultural and commercial hub of Anglophone Cameroon and the base for exploring the famous Ring Road circuit of volcanic lakes and grassland kingdoms.
